Adel City Officials are asking residents and business owners to conserve water as they are having issues with their water plant.

Due to flooding, three of the four water wells for the City have lost power. Because of that issue, the City has implemented it’s Water Conservation Plan as a precautionary measure. A Water Warning has been put into effect. Under a Water Warning, no one is allowed to use outside water except for domestic, sanitation and fire is prohibited; all commercial and industrial uses of water that are not essential for providing products or services are prohibited; irrigation and any recreational use of water is not allowed; and water that is not necessary for the preservation of life or general welfare of the community is prohibited.

The Water Warning will remain in effect until further notice and City officials thank everyone for their patience. To see the full plan, click the link below. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
