The Individual All-State Speech nominations are in, and the Perry Speech Team will be represented by two performers for the second straight year.

Rylynn Gilmore was selected to perform her poetry piece, titled “Desks are Not Bulletproof,” while Brianna Fields will present her literary program, titled “Dirty Dishes,” at the festival. For Gilmore, who received straight “I” ratings at state for both of her entries, this is the second year in a row that she has been selected to All-State in the poetry category. She made it last year with her piece, titled “Awakening.” This is the first All-State selection for Fields, who made it the hard way, having received two “I” ratings and a “II” at the state contest.

Gilmore and Fields will now have the honor of being recognized and then performing at the Individual All-State Speech Festival, which will be held on Monday, March 25th at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. See below for the full results from the State Speech Contest for Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn.
