The Yale Fire Department encourages community members to spend time together this Sunday at their annual pancake breakfast.

The department will be serving pancakes, eggs, sausages, coffee, milk, and juice, all for a freewill donation. Proceeds will go towards equipment purchases for the department, as they are currently working on purchasing a new fire truck. Yale Assistant Fire Chief Kolton Louk explains why they ask for the community’s support, “Well, we are volunteer (run) and for anybody that doesn’t know what that means, that is we do not get paid. So we take the time out of our day versus that of work or if it’s in the middle of the night, take time out of sleeping, take time out of work, take time out of being with family and loved ones to help protect and serve our community.”

The pancake breakfast will take place this Sunday from 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Yale Community Building.
