The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The day will start at 8 a.m. with the Board participating in the Assessor’s Conference Board meeting. The regular meeting will start at 9. Several items on the agenda relate to the Facilities Department, starting with discussion and possible action on the ventilation system in the Sheriff’s Office evidence building. That will be followed by consideration of remodeling projects of the 910 Court Street and 210 North 10th Street buildings, as well as the lease of the building at 918 Court. At 9:30 a.m., the Board will hold a public hearing to consider an overhang easement along the Raccoon River Valley Trail for MidAmerican Energy.

Following that, the Supervisors will consider purchases for the Emergency Medical Services Department, including an ambulance, ambulance equipment, and accessories. Next, they will discuss the cell phone policy with the Operations Department, as well as the sale of Bankers Trust Corporate Trust to UMB Bank, and how that could affect the County. Other items on the agenda include: a child abuse prevention proclamation; a 28E agreement with the City of Dexter for law enforcement; opposition of Senate File 184, a bill regarding state-issued overweight permits on county roads; and a township budget certification acknowledgement.

Finally, at 1 p.m. the Board will hold a workshop with the Human Services Department. The meeting will be held in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, located at 902 Court Street in Adel.
