In a continued effort to learn more about a case of alleged animal cruelty, the Animal Rescue League (ARL) is offering a reward for information on the deaths of two dogs found near Dawson.

The ARL is promising $1,000 to anyone who has knowledge that could lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the deaths of the two animals. The dogs were found floating in the Raccoon River near Dawson on March 16th, and their deaths were quickly ruled not by natural causes. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating the incident. Chief Deputy Adam Infante believes that given where the animals were found, it’s likely the crime didn’t occur in Dallas County.

Anyone with knowledge to share is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 515-993-4567. See below to view the pictures being used to help identify the dogs. The photos are only from the shoulder down, as Infante didn’t want to post anything more due to the graphic nature of the state in which the dogs were found.
