A Jefferson restaurant has been named as a finalist of the 2019 Pulled Pork Madness Challenge with the Iowa Pork Producers Association.

Bett & Bev’s BBQ made it into the “Sweet Sixteen” group of the Pulled Pork Madness of the IPPA contest through an online social media vote announced earlier this month. The winner was Warehouse Barbecue Company and Brewhouse in Ottumwa. About 1,130 pork fans nominated 80 restaurants they felt had the best pulled pork sandwich in the state. IPPA Consumer Outreach Director Kelsey Byrnes selected the top vote-getters in each of the eight districts to make up the “Sweet 16” bracket to go head-to-head.

This is the second year that IPPA has hosted this contest.
