A Churdan man faces a felony charge following an alleged domestic assault incident.

According to court documents, 44-year-old John Henry Sabus is charged with a Class D Felony for domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury. Court documents show a Greene County Deputy responded to a 911 call in the 1000 block of H Avenue on April 6th of a woman screaming for help.

During the investigation, the deputy noticed red marks on the victim’s neck. The affidavit shows a verbal argument turned physical and the victim had other noticeable injuries that corroborated with the victim’s statements. Sabus was then arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail. He was released on his own recognizance the same day and there’s a no contact order in place between Sabus and the victim.
