Forward progress and improvement is the motto for the ADM Girls’ Golf team this Spring. The Lady Tigers, under the direction of first year Head Coach, Dana Brown, played their second meet of the year on Monday in Winterset.

The ADM Girls’ Golf team is made up of ten players, eight of which are only ninth graders, and Monday’s results reflected some improvement in scores and confidence for the Tigers.

The Tigers were led by three players on Monday, Anna West, Liv Rickert, and Monica Thomas, who all shot 57, 58, 59, respectively, in nine holes of golf. The overall team score was down one stroke for ADM to 243.

Last week’s season opening meet was at home in Adel at River Valley Golf Course, so to improve scores on a foreign golf course is a feat worth mentioning for Brown’s young team.

The ADM Girls’ Golf team will be back in action tomorrow at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Grimes, in a triangular with DC-G and Woodward-Granger.
