The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Board met Wednesday in regular session.

The Board approved job descriptions for the director, assistant director, wellness director/pool manager, and front desk personnel. A subcommittee discussed the descriptions following a workshop with a facilitator Abby Gaffey. Some of the main changes for the assistant director includes having that position in charge of all program marketing and youth programming, along with volunteer coordination and added a qualification of preferring a leisure services degree.

The Board also approved to continue a questionnaire survey regarding programs. The first set of surveys was capped at 100 and the Board voted to pay a $25 monthly charge to allow for more respondents. Additionally, the Board approved guidelines for coaches. JPRD Director Vicky Lautner said a recent incident prompted her to distribute expectations to all coaches within the parks and recreation department.

Items that were tabled to a future meeting included replacing the fire alarm system and upgrading the computer system at the Greene County Community Center.
