A reminder that next week is the City of Jefferson’s Spring Clean-Up Week.

The City allows each property owner two free hopper loads of garbage and will be charged $25 per hopper load after that. Items such as yard waste, tree trimmings, brush and scrap metal will be picked up for free and do not require yard waste stickers during clean-up week. Other items that will only incur a cost after the two free hopper loads include furniture, carpet, carpet pads, lumber, construction debris, windows, fencing, and regular garbage.

Appliances will have a $25 charge. Appliances with freon will have a $40 charge. Tires and whole trees will not be picked up.

Spring Clean-Up Week will be from April 22nd through the 25th on your normal garbage day. Residents are reminded to have their garbage and items neatly stacked for easy pick-up and at curbside by 6am. For a full list of accepted items, click the link below.
