The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.

The Council is expected to transfer two properties at 506 East Clark Street and 507 North Cedar Street to Region XII Council of Governments to build houses on the empty lots, following two public hearings on the items. Additionally, the Council will consider for approval two appointments to the volunteer fire department, professional financial services agreement to issue general obligation bonds, waiving a building permit fee for the high school and career academy project for the Greene County School District and closing Chestnut Street from Lincoln Way to State Street for a special event on May 4th. The meeting will end with an expected appointment to fill a vacancy on the Council until the November general election.

The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
