POSTPONED: WCV District Track and Field meet at Panorama has been postponed until Friday, May 10.

Today is the District Track meet for the West Central Valley Wildcats at Panorama High School.

Both the Boys’ and Girls’ District Meet will be held today in Panora beginning with the field events around 4:00pm.

The WCV Girls’ Track and Field team has had a tough spring. The Lady Wildcats have struggled to compete at many meets, but tonight is their chance to make that change.

The West Central Valley Boys’ Track and Field team, on the other hand, has had a terrific spring under Head Coach, Eric Addy. The Wildcats have won two meets this spring, which is a first time milestone for WCV Boys’ Track and Field since 2003.

The Wildcats are looking at back-to-back State Track Meet appearances for their 4×400 relay team. Addy also believes that his 4×200 relay team has an outside shot at qualifying for the State Meet in Des Moines.

Individually, Senior, Cole Arnburg, who has shattered records all season long, will have a chance at qualifying, to represent West Central Valley. As well as distance runner, Louden Foster, who has impressed the Wildcats faithful this spring.

Tonight’s District Meet will begin at 4:00pm this afternoon at Panorama.
