Eric Addy’s WCV Boys’ Track and Field team did more than just compete in their District Track Meet at Panorama on Friday night.  The Wildcats simply ran the table against their competition.

In what was a beautiful evening weather wise in Panora, turned out to be an even better night on the track.  For the second consecutive year, the West Central Valley Boys’ Track and Field team will be sending its 4×400 meter relay team back to the State Track Meet as the Wildcats finished in first place on Friday.

As a pleasant surprise, WCV will also be sending its Sprint Medley Relay team to State as the Wildcats finished second in their District Meet race.  Advancing in this event came as somewhat of a surprise to Addy and his squad, as the Wildcats have flown under the radar all season in the Medley.

Individually, the Wildcats will be sending, Senior standout, and multiple record breaker, Cole Arnburg to the State Track Meet in two different events.  Arnburg took first place in the 400 meter sprint, and second in the 200 meter sprint.

Additionally, Louden Foster, a West Central Valley underclassmen, and distance runner, qualified for two events for State, as Foster took second place in both the 1600 meter and 3200 meter events.

The 2019 State Track Meet will get underway on Thursday in Des Moines.
