Raccoon River Pet Rescue will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony today at 9:30 a.m. at the future site of their facility in Perry.

The public is invited to 14360 Ivy Place to witness the next step towards getting an animal shelter for the Perry area, which has been lacking since the Perry Humane Society disbanded last year.
