Don’t forget, Monday is Memorial Day, and public entities throughout Dallas County will be closed in observance of the holiday.

In Perry, all City offices, the water works, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed. The public library will be closed both today and tomorrow. Additionally, Monday’s garbage routes will be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday’s routes will be moved to Wednesday. As a result, there will be no yard waste pick up on Wednesday, and it will return next week with pick up on the south side of Willis Avenue.

In Adel, the City Hall and the public library will be closed for Memorial Day, though the garbage collection routes will not be affected. Also, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse, Department of Motor Vehicles, and drivers license station will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions throughout the County will be closed. Everything will reopen Tuesday, unless otherwise specified.
