A Rippey man was recently sentenced for sexually abusing minors.

According to court documents, 22-year-old Bradley Purdy pled guilty to a Class C Felony for lascivious acts with a child and a serious misdemeanor for indecent exposure. He was sentenced to 270 days in the Greene County Jail for the misdemeanor charge, had his ten-year prison sentence suspended and will be placed on three years of probation for the felony charge. Both sentences are to run concurrent and Purdy will be given credit for time already served.

The plea agreement stemmed from an investigation with the Greene County Sheriff’s office that began on January 27th. Purdy had committed sex acts and sexually exposed himself to two minors.

As per his plea agreement, Purdy must also register as a sex offender on the state’s Sex Offender Registry, pay over $1,500 in fines, surcharges, court costs and attorney fees, and there’s a no contact order in place. The state agreed to drop the other seven charges against Purdy.
