The Perry Jayettes could not overcome eight errors in the field Thursday as Ballard defeated the Jayettes 13-4 in Raccoon River Conference action.  Ballard broke the game open in the 6th inning sending 12 batters to the plate and scoring seven runs off four hits and four costly Perry errors.  Peyton Tunick threw her best game of the season allowing only three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings.  She was able to work out of numerous jams early in the game.  Perry actually led 3-2 midway through the contest following a Kennedy Tunick RBI opposite field hit.  Lydia Olejniczak cracked a 2-run home run, while Macy Kilmer added a RBI double.  Libby Hastings finished with a base hit and a walk in her only two at bats.  Perry senior Gabby West left the game in the 2nd inning for precautionary reasons following a collision at home plate.  The Jayettes fall to 0-5 in RRC action and will take part in the Woodward Granger Classic over the next two days.
