A quiet weekend is in store for West Central Valley Baseball and Softball, after a flurry of games this past week.  Coming into this week, both the Wildcats Baseball and Softball teams were hunting for their first victory of the season.

West Central Valley Softball had been plagued by lack of offensive production through the first few weeks of the season.  The Wildcats were able to secure their first victory in softball with a 2-1 win over Madrid on Monday night.  Offensive production improved in their next game on Tuesday vs. AC/GC, but the Wildcats dropped that game 21-6.

For the Baseball team, WCV picked up win number one on Tuesday night in Stuart as the Wildcats hosted AC/GC.  The Wildcats were led by Senior, starting pitcher, Cole Arnburg.  Arnburg threw a complete game, allowing one hit as his team mercy-ruled the Chargers in 6 innings by the final score of 10-0.

WCV Baseball and Softball will be back in action on Monday evening in Panora.
