North Polk was a winner by the 10-run rule over Greene County on Tuesday night in Alleman 11-1 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball. The Rams fell to 4-8 overall and 2-4 in conference play.The Comets improved to 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the league.

The Rams had just three hits, all singles. Carter Morton, Austin Delp, and Clayton Smith had the base hits. The lone run for the Rams scored in the third inning on an error. The Comets had two errors and the Rams were charged with four.

Branden Hoyle was the starting and losing pitcher. Six of the 11 runs the Comets scored were earned. Hoyle allowed nine hits and two walks. He did not record a strikeout.

Greene County plays baseball and softball tonight in Jewell vs. South Hamilton.
