Tuesday, June 11th

12:54am: An officer checked the residence of 503 South Cedar Street after dispatch received an automated 911 Call from a Pendant Activation. All appeared fine at the residence.

8:27am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of McDuffie Drive.

10:34am: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of West Washington Street resulted in Roger Burnie Jr. of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

12:20pm: Officers removed two young raccoons from the yard at 609 South Cedar Street. They were removed from the city.

4:09pm: Officers assisted the Jefferson Fire Department with a small vehicle fire in the 100 Block of North Grimmell Road.

5:17pm: Jackie Mentzer reported a neighbor burning trash in a barrel at 104 East State Street. The officer spoke to the resident and advised they can only burn yard waste, per city ordinance.

6:04pm: Brooke Taylor spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue at 305 North Oak Street.

7:31pm: Melvin Dungslap advised of two suspicious males walking near 802 West State Street. The officer made contact with the two, who advised they were attempting to purchase a motorcycle for sale in the area.
