Greene County had its three game softball winning streak broken on Tuesday night in Adel by Class 3A number one ranked ADM, 8-3. The Tigers won the non-conference contest to improve to 13-1 while Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams fell to 3-9.

All three Greene County runs were earned off winning pitcher Abbie Hlas, who fanned eight Rams, walked three and allowed six hits, all singles. Eighth grader Emma Stream had two hits for the Rams with one each from eighth grader Emma Hoyle, senior Megan Carey, freshman Carmyn Paup, and junior Izzy Bravard. Hoyle drove in a run.

Hoyle pitched the first three innings and took the loss. She gave up seven runs, but just three earned, with three walks and no strikeouts. Senior Jenna Beyers went three innings and the one run against her was not earned. Beyers walked a batter and struck out two. The Rams were charged with five errors while ADM had none.

Greene County plays softball and baseball tonight in Jewell vs. South Hamilton.
