The Winterset softball team scored 11 unearned runs Monday night in defeating Perry 13-1 in five innings of conference softball at the PAC.  The Huskies inflicted all of their damage in two innings, both the third and fifth frames.  Winterset broke open a scoreless tie with an 8 run barrage.  The Huskies sent 13 batters to the plate and took advantage of four Perry errors in the inning.  Winterset put the game away in the fifth with five more unearned runs scoring off four consecutive Perry miscues.  The Huskies outhit Perry 11-3.  The Jayettes plated their lone run on a RBI single by Jayna Kenney.  Jasmine Shriver scored the game’s only run for Perry while Lydia Olejniczak and Peyton Tunick added singles.  Tunick took the loss in the circle allowing nine runs (two earned) over 2 1/3 innings.

Perry falls to 3-16 on the season and 0-7 in conference play.  The Jayettes will try to snap their current eight game losing skid Wednesday night at home against Carroll.
