The ACGC softball team got out to a fast start to take down West Central Valley 11-1 in five innings Tuesday.

It was senior night for the Chargers with all four seniors in the lineup contributing. Genevieve Hoover led the way with a three-run home run in the first inning as the Chargers scored eight in the opening frame. She added an RBI single in the fourth to finish with four runs driven in. Sierra O’Brien had a pair of hits in the contest and Jadeyn Carrick had a single and an RBI. Savana Fuller added a hit and two runs scored while pitching five strong innings, allowing just one run on two hits and a walk while striking out six.

All nine starters for ACGC had at least one hit with Madalyn Kelsey also adding two hits and two RBI.

With the win ACGC improves to 11-16 for the season while West Central Valley falls to 5-20. The Chargers will have a few days off before hosting Glidden-Ralston on Saturday. West Central Valley will travel to Earlham Thursday for a doubleheader.
