Friday morning, the City of Perry and the Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed the newest restaurant to town, holding a ribbon-cutting for Bett & Bev’s BBQ.

The restaurant is located on 1st Street in Perry, adjacent to the Verizon store, and is the second location for the Jefferson-based eatery. Owner/Operator Kyle Roeder said they’ve been celebrating their grand opening since Tuesday, and he felt the response from the Perry community so far has been overwhelmingly positive. “It’s been incredible! People have showed up in droves, from 11-2 all the days we’ve been open we’ve had a line the entire day. And I couldn’t be happier about it.”

The ribbon-cutting was attended by several people from the public and the Chamber, and Roeder said it was great to see such support from the community right off the bat. He added, his relationship with the Chamber so far has been very productive. “They’ve been incredible to work with. They communicate with me every day, I even ran into some of them at the farmers market the other day. They’ll always remember your name, and they make Perry feel like home very easily.”

Bett & Bev’s BBQ is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
