It was a very busy weekend in Perry, with the Sesquicentennial Celebration running Friday through Saturday, and the consensus was the event was a hit.

Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti said the whole thing was a lot of work, but she was happy with how everything came together in the end. “Overall, I think it was a really great event! We had a lot of different activities and people were able to come out and participate and enjoy different things. So from kids activities to live music, we had a great variety. Historical programming, all of those were very well attended, so it was nice to see people come out for those. But overall, everything went very well, and I think people really enjoyed the celebration.”

Pasutti was unsure just how many people were in attendance for the entire weekend, but she was happy to report that everyone involved with the individual events was pleased with their turnout. She offered her thanks to everyone who made the Sesquicentennial a success, whether they helped with planning, fundraising, performing, or volunteering, or they just attended the festivities.
