Winterset defeated Perry 10-2 in the regular season softball finale Monday night from Madison County. The game was postponed from last week. Winterset took a 5-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning and put the game away scoring four runs and sending nine batters to the plate. The Huskies finished with 8 hits. Freshman Jayna Kenney took the loss pitching six innings, allowing 9 earned runs off 8 hits. She struck out one. Jasmin Barck and Lydia Olejniczak scored the Perry runs. The Jayettes finished with 8 hits. Perry closes out the regular season 0-14 in conference play and will travel to Harlan Thursday for first round regional competition with first pitch at 5:00.
