Lee Sloan, 82, of Jefferson, IA died July 11, 2019 at his home in Jefferson.  He donated his body to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Monday, July 15, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.  Burial at a future date will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m.  – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Friends may designate memorials to a place of their choice.

Leaving to mourn are his wife of 59 years, Sheryl;  his two children: daughter, Sara (Rick) Stine of Winston-Salem, NC, and son, Douglas (Jennifer) Sloan of Metamora, IL; five precious grandchildren:  Jakob Stine of NC, Rachel, Hannah, Mia and Adam Sloan of Metamora, IL;  brother, Phillip (Carolyn) Sloan of Jefferson; sisters-in-law: Lessie Sloan of Jefferson, IA  and Nancy (Peter) Sugges of Chandler, AZ; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
