The Perry Parks and Recreation Department is collaborating with Tyson Fresh Meats and the Des Moines Menace soccer club to offer a special camp for children.

From July 15-18, Tyson is sponsoring a free soccer camp for kids age 3-14. The camp will be held at Perkins Park, located in northwest Perry, and there will be different time frames for different age groups. Children between 3-4-years-old will play from 9:30-10:30 a.m., those age 5-9 will take the field from 9-10:30 a.m., and the 10-14-year-olds will go from 9-11 a.m. The camp will be run by players and coaches from the semi-pro Menace team, so the Parks and Rec Department encourages kids to take advantage of the chance to learn from professionals at no cost.
