The AC/GC Chargers football team officially kicked off the 2019 football season on Monday with the first day of camp. The camp is two sessions each day, Monday through Friday, with a practice in the morning and a practice in the afternoon. These camps were installed across the state after the abolition of two-a-day padded practices prior to the 2013 season.

AC/GC looks to build off of a promising 3-6 campaign under 2nd-year head coach Cody Matthewson. Matthewson faces the challenge of replacing his two leading rushers from 2018 in Ben Kingery and Gabe Rowley, but does return playmakers in Gavin Cornelison and quarterback Bryce Littler. The Chargers are lead up front by seniors Quynton Yonker and Sam Madsen.

AC/GC begins game action with a scrimmage against Madrid on Friday, August 23rd in Guthrie Center. The 1st game of the season will be against IKM, Manning at Manning on Friday, August 30th.
