Kelly Phelps of Van Meter was traveling in the 23000 block of 360th St., when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $4500.00.

Cara Ann Goering, age 26 of 110 W Railroad Ave., Dawson was arrested in the 20000 block of D Ave for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ashley Klaren of Ankeny was traveling south in the 34000 block of N Ave and was slowing/stopping for backed up traffic when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Naomi Griffin of Adel. No injuries reported. Damage to Griffin’s vehicle estimated at $1500.00 and $1200.00 to Klaren’s. Griffin was given a warning ticket for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

Blake Vincent Ryerson, age 19 of 621 S 8th Ave., Winterset was arrested at 31342 Ute Ave., Waukee for OWI.

August 4, 2019
Daniel Weston Waller, age 32 of 1706 Sycamore Ave., Dallas Center was arrested in the 17000 block of N Ave., Minburn for driving while license suspended and OWI.

Herman Benitez-Tlaceca of Perry was traveling in the 17000 block of N Ave when his vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch traveling thru the ditch and coming to a stop after hitting a tree. The vehicle then caught on fire. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $13000.00. Damage to the tree estimated at $700.00. Benitez-Tlaceca was cited for failure to maintain control.

Breeya Lynn Moritz, 18 of 605 2nd Ave., SW., Oelwein was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for initial appearance-original charge of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Terry D King, age 54 of 1421 Calvin St., Davenport was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of OWI.

Jennifer Rae Nicolaisen, age 40 of 12879 Houston Ave., Perry was cited and released at 13000 Grandview, Perry for operate without interlock and driving while license revoked.

Sandra Knowles (Eliason), age 37 of 1041 22nd St., Des Moines was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for scheduling conference-original charge of probation violation – theft.
