New Greene County head football coach Caden Duncan is a graduate of Prairie Valley (Gowrie) High School, who has been an assistant coach at Panorama the last three seasons. He takes the head coaching reigns for the first time as the head of the Greene County program. The Rams were 8-1 in the regular season last year, District Co-Champions, and 8-2 overall after a first round loss in the Class 2A playoffs.

A number of starters return for Coach Duncan and his coaching staff. The head coach will also be the defensive coordinator. Cole Jaeschke returns as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Chad Morton coaches special teams, receivers, and defensive backs. Bob Allen coaches defensive line. Ronnie Pollock returns to coaching at the high school level after a stint with the middle school and he’ll be coaching linebackers. Nick Fett returns to coach the offensive line after a one year absence. Chad Black and Todd Hansen are volunteer coaches.

Official practice begins on Monday, Aug. 12. A controlled scrimmage that doesn’t count on the record will take place in Alleman vs. North Polk on Aug. 23, and the first game of the season is in Jefferson at Linduska Field vs. Perry on Aug. 30 for the renewal of the “Battle for the Cowbell.” Once again this season, all Greene County football games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
