Tomorrow marks the first official day of practice for all Fall high school sports in the state of Iowa. At Greene County High School, Fall sports are football, volleyball, and cross-country. Girls wanting to swim do so at Boone HS through an athletic sharing agreement.

Caden Duncan is the head football coach. He’s new to the district after three years as an assistant coach in the Panorama district. This is the first head coaching job for Coach Duncan, a graduate of Prairie Valley (Gowrie) HS.

Chris Heisterkamp starts her second season as head volleyball coach of the Greene County program. She previously was an assistant coach for the Rams, and also is a past Southeast Valley (Gowrie) head coach.

Jeff Lamoureux is in his third season heading the Rams in cross-country for both girls and boys. He previously was a boys’ basketball assistant coach here, and has history as a park and recreation director.

Tom Kennedy is the Paton-Churdan volleyball head coach. P-C and Greene County have sharing programs for the sports of cross-country and football with those two programs based in Jefferson.
