Offensive Coordinator Cole Jaeschke sees many leaders as he looks at the Greene County football team. Many of those leaders are returning players from the 2018 team that was 8-2 overall, 8-1 in the regular season, top 10 ranked in Class 2A, co-champs of District 9, and a playoff qualifier.

“We’re starting the third year of this offense now and we have some players who are in their third year working with this offense and with me, so I’d say we have about seven guys with multi-year experience. We’re really starting to dive into the offense and it’s starting to get complex. Our quarterback (Brent) Riley is really starting to understand and see what I see, and almost be a coach out there on the field. We’ve got a lot of leaders on our offense, and on the team overall.”

Greene County averaged more than 40 points and 405 yards per game a season ago. The Rams open the regular season at home in Jefferson on Aug. 30 vs. Perry in the annual Cowbell game on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
