The Perry volleyball team has been one of the youngest teams the past two seasons.  This year they will still be young but head coach John Fulton says they will have the luxury of experience.  Perry will try to secure a Raccoon River conference win this season with a unit that returns five of their six starters from a year ago.

“Yeah, it really has been an exciting camp,” stated the head volleyball coach. “I can really see the experience we picked up a year ago already starting to pay off this season.  We have played a lot of volleyball this summer and it just seems like we started ahead of where we were last year due to all of that experience.”

The Jayettes will feature three big hitters this season with Kaci Nevitt, Jasmine Shriver and freshman Ashley Cerna.  Quinn Whiton will be asked to be the setter once again.

“I plan on playing seven players and want to go with four players who never leave the court.  I want them to be able to play both front and back row.”
