The AC/GC cross country team found success in Pella over the weekend.

The Chargers took part in the Dutch Cross Country Invitational at Central Community College Saturday. Both the girls and boys teams finished in second place in the eight team field. The boys had three runners finish in the top-10 individually. Trevor Suhr took third place with a time of 17:47, Ben Young finished in sixth in 18:31, and Miles Kading finished in 18:36 to earn eighth place.

In similar fashion, the girl’s finished in second as a team, only falling behind to Mid-Prairie who is ranked #1 in Class 2A. Senior Kate Crawford came into the race ranked #4 individually by IowaRunJumpThrow.com. Crawford had another strong showing finishing in 19:40, trailing only the two-time state champion and returning Gatorade Iowa Cross Country Runner of the Year Marie Hosteler of Mid-Prairie.
