The recent Class 2A cross country rankings featured schools and athletes from the area.

The AC/GC girls ran their way back in the team rankings. According to, they were ranked 13th in Class 2A before the season started. They dropped out of the rankings after week one, then re-entered the rankings at #11 this week. Individually, senior Kate Crawford remains at #4 after a strong showing Saturday in Pella. Junior Rylee Sloss also earned a spot in the individual rankings for the first time this season coming in at #30.

Panorama returns their core from the girls team who qualified for state as a team last season. As a team, the Panthers dropped from #5 to #6 in the latest team rankings after finishing second at West Central Valley last week. Junior Ella Waddle remained steady at #6 individually after taking first place at WCV.

Both squads will meet Thursday at Greene County High School.
