Coming off of an upset, road win last Friday at Norwalk, the Dallas Center-Grimes Football team is riding a wave of confidence and momentum heading into their home opener tonight in Grimes.

DC-G, 1-1, will welcome the Ballard Bombers of Huxley and Slater tonight for a gridiron showdown.  Ballard, also 1-1, is coming to Grimes coming off of their most recent game, a narrow loss on the road in Carroll.

The Mustangs started the first two weeks of the season on the road, and will now look forward to playing in front of their home crowd tonight.  The weather at game time should be nearly perfect, clear skies and overnight lows in the upper 50s.

DC-G Head Coach, Scott Heitland, told Raccoon Valley Radio that picking up wins on the road, as an underdog, in a come from behind fashion, often times can paint the picture of what the season could be for a team.  Heitland alluded to a number of guys that were big for his team last week at Norwalk, including Junior, Quarterback, Ty Walker, and Senior, Isacc Boley.

Tonight’s game is set to kick off at 7:30pm from DC-G High School.
