The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs hosted the Bombers of Ballard High School on Friday night in Grimes in the home opener for the 2019 campaign.

The Mustangs picked up their second win of the season last night with a defensive struggle victory over Ballard 7-0.

The DC-G defense was stout, and kept the Bombers at bay. Ballard was unable to get anything going offensively all evening, and the DC-G offense produced just enough.

Junior, Quarterback, Ty Walker had another solid night in the air. Walker was 11/17 on passing, with 105 total yards. The Mustangs lone touchdown was walked to the end zone by Sophomore, Jake Lego.

DC-G will be back in action on the road on Friday at Glenwood.
