Don’t forget, a Democratic candidate for President of the United States will be paying a visit to several locations in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area tomorrow.

Julián Castro is the former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama, as well as the former Mayor of San Antonio, Texas. He will be making his first visits to both Greene and Dallas counties since declaring his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for President in the 2020 primary election. His visit Sunday will include an invite-only event in Rippey, followed by a stop at the Milwaukee Depot in Jefferson at 3 p.m.

Castro will then pay a visit to Hotel Pattee in Perry for a meet and greet at 7 p.m. The events in Jefferson and Perry are free and open to the public. Castro is one of 19 Democrats still in the running for the Presidential nomination, joining several who have spent a great deal of time in Iowa ahead of the 2020 Caucuses. He’ll also be the second to visit Dallas County tomorrow, with California businessman Andrew Yang scheduled to be in Adel earlier in the day.
