West central Iowa has seen lots of rainfall this month, which has caused most of the drought conditions to subside.

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, only the northernmost edge of Greene County is abnormally dry. The rest of Greene County, along with Dallas and Guthrie counties are no longer in a drought. According to the National Weather Service as of Friday morning, Perry has seen 3.89-inches of precipitation for the month of September, Jefferson reports 3.83-inches and Guthrie Center has 2.21-inches.
