Friday night was arguably one of the biggest wins for the Dallas Center-Grimes Football team in recent years, as the Mustangs took the bus ride down to, previously undefeated, Glenwood.

DC-G was facing a high powered offense from the Rams, and Mustangs Head Coach, Scott Heitland knew that his team had a tall task of slowing down such a potent offensive attack from Glenwood.  His team was certainly up to the challenge, as DC-G came up with a dominant 28-9 win.

The defense was superb, and to the surprise of nearly everyone, so was the Mustangs’ offense.  Heitland told Raccoon Valley Radio, “The best way to keep an explosive offense in check, is to keep the ball in your hands.  Our offense performed as well as they’ve performed all year, on Friday night.  I think, I think we ran close to 15 more plays on the night total, than what they did.  We were able to control the clock.”

The Mustangs will be back in action on Friday night hosting the winless Perry Bluejays in Grimes.  Game time is set for 7:00pm.
