The Dallas Center-Grimes Football team picked up its fifth consecutive win at Humboldt last night.  The Mustangs have been road warriors this season, with three straight wins on the opponents’ turf.

DC-G took a narrow, 17-12, win back to Grimes with them last night.  Scot Heitland’s team improves to 5-1 on the season now, and continues to lead their District, in a first place tie with Carroll, with just three weeks to go in the regular season

Defensively it was a big night for the Mustangs, and especially, Junior Blake Willey with 10 tackles on the night, along with Senior Jayme Augusma with 8 tackles, respectively.

Offensively, Junior QB, Ty Walker tossed up two touchdown passes for the night to Cody Hall.  Walker also carried the ball himself 8 times for 67 yards.  Senior, Gimao Goncalves punched through a field goal from 19 yards, as well.

DC-G will face winless Boone next Friday in Grimes.

Tune in Monday night between 6:00-7:00pm for the Dallas County PM Sports Page as we talk with Head Coach, Scott Heitland.
