Friends of the Jefferson Public Library is hosting a brand new fundraiser.

Organizer Ginny Showman says the Murder Mystery Dinner Party will take place at four different homes in Jefferson. She points out the plot is the same and the participants won’t know who was the murderer or the victim until the end of the party. Showman notes each person will have a character profile sent to them. Tickets are $25 each and are available at the Jefferson Library. Showman talks about how the new fundraiser was created.

“Well last year the winter reading program was all about murder mysteries. At the end of it the people at the library had a mystery party dinner. And they all thought it was so much fun. So (Library Director) Jane (Millard) and I put our heads together and thought, ‘Wouldn’t this be a great fundraiser.’”

Tickets are limited, which includes dinner. Participants are also encouraged to dress up as it is a costume party. Each dinner party will be from 6-9pm on October 25th and 26th, and November 1st and 2nd. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Friends for purchases for the library.
