On Friday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Football team extended their winning streak to seven games after taking down Webster City on the road by the score of 41-27.

DC-G, now 7-1, was on fire offensively at Webster City.  The Mustangs crossed the goal line six times in the contest.  Junior, Starting QB, Ty Walker was 10 for 16 through the air, with 201 yards, and 4 TD passes.  Caden Grimes caught two of those TD’s from Walker, one by Senior, Cody Hall, and a fourth by Isacc Boley for 69 yards.

Zach Brand also tacked on two rushing touchdowns on Friday.  Brand carried the ball 30 times on Friday for 215 yards for an impressive 7.2 yards per carry.

Jayme Augusma, Nic Lawton, Garrett Morris, and Zach Needham all had big nights defensively for the Mustangs.  All recording, at least, seven tackles each.  Lawton also had one interception at Webster City, as well.

Dallas Center-Grimes, now 7-1 overall, and 4-0 in District play, will face off with the Carroll Tigers on Friday in Grimes for the right to be District Champion.  Carroll is 5-3 overall, and 4-0 in District play.  The winner will earn an automatic berth in the State Playoffs.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm on Friday night in Grimes.
