Now just two days away from their first postseason game, the Dallas Center-Grimes Football team has been preparing and practicing in anticipation of the first round playoff match-up between the Mustangs and Harlan this Friday.

In an interview with Raccoon Valley Radio, DC-G Head Coach, Scott Heitland believes his defense is talented enough to give his team a chance to make a run towards the UNIDome.  Heitland said, “I think anytime you have a great defensive team that plays the way our guys are playing right now, I really think that the possibilities are really endless, that way.”

Harlan brings in one of the most potent offenses that DC-G has faced all season.  Harlan’s offense is lead by Jonathon Monson, the highly talented and athletic quarterback of the Cyclones.  At quarterback, Monson is the leading rusher for Harlan, averaging just under 7 yards per carry.

Heitland added, “The thing about playing good, solid defense – it’s the oldest cliche in the book, if they can’t score, they can’t be you.”

DC-G and Harlan will kickoff at 7:00pm on Friday night in Grimes.

If you can’t make the game, be sure to tune for live, play-by-play coverage on 99.7FM or AM1310 KDLS.  Pregame coverage will start at 6:00pm.  The game will also be streamed online at raccoonvalleyradio.com, or on the KDLS mobile app.
