The AC/GC girl’s cross country team found success in their debut at the state championships as a Class 2A team.

The Charger’s girls team finished in first place at the state qualifying meet a few weeks ago in Panora, punching their ticket to Fort Dodge Saturday. AC/GC was led by senior Kate Crawford who finished in third place overall with a time of 19:05. Rylee Sloss and Kiersten Knobbe were the next two Chargers to finish coming in 14th and 30th respectively. Jorja Hoover, Alyson Embleton, Jenna Stringer, and Taylor Lemke also ran for AC/GC, finishing between 22:00-24:00. The Chargers 169 points was good enough to earn them a fifth place finish as a team.

This will wrap up the Charger’s 2019 cross country season. They’ll look to build of a successful year as they bring back four of their six state qualifiers.
