Adel-Desoto-Minburn’s Nate Mueller won the state cross country race on Saturday and put on a tremendous time of 15 minutes and 45 seconds, dominating the race and his competition. Mueller’s improvement from his sophomore campaign to his junior was very noticeable due to the times that he ran. Mueller in the 2018 state race ran a great time of 16 minutes and 12 seconds, which helped him get third.

Mueller had a difference of 27 seconds between the two years on the very same course. Training had a lot to do with the success for Mueller, as well as being a great individual athlete.

The crazy part for ADM and Mueller is he will be coming back next year to have the opportunity to defend his state championship, which will be an awesome opportunity. For now though, Mueller will enjoy his success of his season before he hits the hardwood as he is expected to be one of the returners for the ADM men’s basketball team.
