Cheryl Voelker’s DC-G Volleyball poured everything they had into attempting to take down highly rated, Waverly-Shell Rock, and the Fillies came so close to pulling this one off, it’s heartbreaking.

The Fillies dropped the two opening sets at Waverly on Monday night 25-23, and 25-18.  DC-G was just one set away from their season ending, but the determined DC-G Volleyball team wasn’t going to let it happen, at least easily.

DC-G Volleyball rallied and dominated the third set, 25-17, and tied up the match with a fourth set win 25-21.  The Fillies had the momentum heading into the fifth and decisive set, with the first to 15 being named champion.  Unfortunately, DC-G came up just short in the last frame, dropping set five 16-14.

DC-G’s season ends with a 31-7 record.  The Fillies will graduate four Seniors from this year’s roster, including Ashley Ferguson, Katelyn Knudsen, Samantha Vos, and Kamryn O’Brien.
