The unofficial results are in for the city and school board elections in Greene County.

According to the County Auditor’s Office, the City of Jefferson will have a new mayor. Unofficially, challenger Matt Gordon defeated incumbent Craig Berry 513 to 494 votes. As for Jefferson City Council, incumbents Dave Sloan and Matt Wetrich were re-elected with 652 and 613 votes respectively, to challenger Sean Sebourn’s 457 votes. There were two other contested city races. Grand Junction City Council unofficial winners were Brian Mount with 101 votes and Chad Wilson with 89 votes. Third place was Brandon Mount with 88 votes. Scranton City Council unofficial winners were Zach Sukovaty with 71 votes, Cassidy Wilson with 61 votes and Jeramie Phillips with 40 votes. 

As for school board, there was one contested race for the Greene County School Board. Incumbents prevailed with Steve Fisher and John McConnell defeating challenger Randy Lebeck. 

There was a 23.55-percent voter turnout with 1,520 ballots cast of 6,454 registered voters. The results remain unofficial until the Greene County Board of Supervisors canvass the votes at the next regular meeting on Tuesday, November 12th. Click the link below to see the full results.
