adm-fall-play-2019

The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Drama Department has been working since the start of the school year on their fall play, and this weekend they’re ready to unveil it to the public.

The show is titled “In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People,” and Director Molly Longman says it’s a play she’s wanted to do for some time but has been waiting for the right cast of students. She promises it will be a highly entertaining production, and will help people get into the holiday spirit. “I’m kind of making the comparison: if you’ve ever seen the movie ‘Christmas Vacation,’ the family aspect is a lot like that show, but then you introduce elements of like the ‘Home Alone’ movies. You know, it’s stories and characters that we’ve seen before, but not combined in these ways. And again, with it being November now, everybody’s kind of starting to get into the holiday spirit, and that’s what we’re looking forward to!”

Longman adds, the play is kid-friendly, so she encourages families to come see it together. “In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People” will be performed Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the ADM High School Auditorium, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and staff, and there is assigned seating so Longman recommends getting your seats now before the best ones are taken.
